Australian Goju Kai Karate - Merv Oakley Goju Karate Australia teaches self defence to men, women and children over 7 years. Karate training will improve your fitness, strength, general health, physical coordination, self discipline and self esteem. You will also have opportunities to compete in national tournaments. Ryu Kyu Kobudo classes are also available to interested students after a qualifying period.
Our school is the place for you if you want to learn Karate in the way that was taught to me in Japan by Gogen Yamaguchi ( "The Cat", legendary 10th Dan and founder of the The All Japan Karate Do Federation Goju Kai ) or traditional Okinawan weaponry arts taught to me by Katsumi Murakami (9th Dan Shorin Ryu Karate Do, teacher of the Kobudo Sai and Bo weaponry arts).
